 Doug Jones was elected to the United States Senate in 2017.  Before that, Alabama's junior Senator was a trial lawyer.  In 2001 and 2002, as a U.S. Attorney, he successfully prosecuted two of the Klansman responsible for the 1963 Birmingham church bombing that killed four African-American girls.  The prosecution, 40 years in the making, is the subject of Jones's new book.  I talked to the Senator about the case that has been a part of his life since law school.
