In Bridge of Spies, the current Steven Spielberg movie, Tom Hanks plays James Donovan – an insurance coverage lawyer who defends an accused Soviet spy in the late 1950s. Donovan is later directly involved in negotiating his client’s swap for an American spy pilot. The movie is based on a true story. James Donovan really was an insurance coverage lawyer (P&C in fact).
