Declarations: The Coverage Opinions Interview With Fred Gray – Lawyer For Rosa Parks and MLK, Jr.
Fred Gray represented Rosa Parks in her 1955 trial for her legendary act of defiance. He also represented Martin Luther King, Jr. on several occasions. In addition to desegregating the Montgomery, Alabama buses, Fred Gray secured for African Americans the right to vote and serve on juries, as well as worked to desegregate other aspects of society. Fred Gray's 65 year career as a civil rights lawyer -- making history -- is remarkable. He was kind enough to share some of it with me.
